- NOTICE OF COUNCIL VACANCY Due to the recent resignation of one of its elected officials, a vacancy has occurred on Park Hills City Council requiring that the unexpired term be filled by a qualified applicant who shall be a resident of the City, at least 18 years of age and a registered voter. Pursuant to the requirements of City Ordinance, Notice is hereby being given and posted pursuant thereto that any qualified applicant may apply by submitting a written and signed letter expressing interest in filling the vacancy to the City Clerk, Julie Alig, at 1106 Amsterdam Road, Park Hills, Kentucky 41011. The submission shall be made no later than 4 p.m. Monday November 4, 2024. At its next regularly scheduled meeting to be held on November 11th, Council shall decide who shall fill the vacancy from the list of qualified applicants in accordance with the requirements set forth in the Ordinance. Any applicant in attendance may address Council for no more than 5 minutes regarding his or her candidacy before the vote is taken. Please note that as a general election is being held on November 5th, this vacancy shall only be filled for a period of no more than 2 months duration from the date Council votes on the person being appointed to fill the vacancy as the newly elected members of Council shall all take office on January 1, 2025, thus eliminating the vacancy.
