Description:
The financial oversight committee will investigate the current financial condition of the city and assist the Mayor in the preparation of the budget. In cooperation with the City Clerk/Treasurer, the committee will report to the Mayor and council on financial matters including, but not limited to: oustanding debts, fund balances, anticipated expenditures, money management, budget, revenues and the establishment of reserves. The committee will evaluate all financial commitments and all income/expense relationships including, but not limited to: banking, insurance, and all contractual obligations. The committee will endeavor to make public financial information readily available
